About the Directors
Professional Partners is a Melbourne-based mortgage broking company helping private clients secure superior mortgage packages. The company was established in 2004 by its principals Sean Herman and Craig Schafner.

Sean Herman
Sean is a Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Sean has a comprehensive appreciation and understanding of various tax and finance related issued that help clients ensure the appropriate loan structures are in place.

Prior to establishing Professional Partners, Sean worked as a senior financial planner for two years at one of AXA's leading financial planning firms. During this time Sean helped a number of clients developing and implementing financial and investment strategies to help meet their lifestyle goals and objectives.

Sean has fifteen years local and international finance experience. Sean is a full member of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia. Sean holds the following qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (Australia)
• Bachelor of Commerce Degree
• Post graduate diploma in accounting
• Certificate IV in mortgage broking
• Diploma in financial planning

Craig Schafner
Craig has fifteen years of comprehensive experience in the financial services industry and professionally qualified as an actuary and.mortgage broker.

Craig is a principal founder of Professional Partners and is passionate about assisting his clients to realise their property ownership goals be it the most complex or simple finance scenario.

Prior to establishing Professional Partners, he was employed by AXA Australia in the Group Finance area providing senior management with a range of financial advice. He also spent four years providing advice to large institutional multinational clients and mining houses whilst working for Alexander Forbes Financial Services.

In addition to fifteen years of Australian and International finance experience, Craig has also completed the following qualifications:

• Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia
• Associate of the Institute of Actuaries (UK).
• Bachelor of Economic Science Degree (Mathematical Statistics and Actuarial Science)
• Certificate IV in mortgage broking
• Diploma in financial planning

Craig is a full member of Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia.

Combined the directors have more than 30 years professional experience with institutional and private clients.
